How to Face Commitment Struggles with Divine Fortitude

Updated: Nov 15, 2023

In the hustle and bustle of our modern lives, the commitment to our promises often faces formidable challenges. The constant whirlwind of responsibilities, distractions, and uncertainties can shake our resolve. In this weeks podcast, we explore the common struggles we encounter in keeping commitments and delve into the profound role that faith plays in providing the fortitude needed to stand strong.

The Turbulence of Commitment in a Busy World:

Living in a fast-paced world, keeping commitments can feel like a daunting task. The demands of work, family, and personal pursuits often leave us feeling overwhelmed, leading to the erosion of our resolve. Recognizing these challenges is the first step in addressing them.

Faith as the Unshakable Anchor:

Amidst the storms of life, faith becomes the unshakable anchor that steadies our commitment ship. Grounding ourselves in the principles and teachings of our faith provides the stability needed to weather the challenges that threaten our commitment.

The Power of Prayer in Perseverance:

Prayer emerges as a powerful ally in our commitment struggles. Through consistent and heartfelt prayer, we cultivate a deep connection with God, drawing strength and guidance to navigate the complexities of our daily lives. In moments of weakness, prayer becomes our lifeline.

Sacraments: A Divine Reset Button:

Acknowledging our humanity, with its flaws and imperfections, is crucial. The sacraments, gifts of God's mercy, stand as a divine reset button. Confession, Eucharist, and other sacraments offer renewal, forgiveness, and the grace needed to rise again when commitments falter.

God's Infinite Mercy:

Embracing the reality that we may stumble in our commitments, God's infinite mercy becomes our source of hope. Knowing that our faith teaches us a compassionate and forgiving God allows us to persevere with resilience, even in the face of setbacks.

As commitments in our busy lives face turbulence, our faith becomes the compass guiding us through the storm. Anchored in faith, fortified by prayer, and reassured by the sacraments, we discover the fortitude to stand firm. In acknowledging our human frailty and relying on God's mercy, we find the strength to renew our commitment when we falter. May our journey be one of perseverance, anchored in the unwavering faith that sustains us through life's challenges.

About Me

_F2A9653_edited.jpg

I’m Lori Balderas, I created this podcast for those who are converting, reverting or simply want a FRESH perspective of the Catholic faith to help them to open their hearts and minds to become closer to the love and goodness of Christ.

I converted to Catholicism at the age of 49.  It was, by far, the best decision I’ve ever made! I don’t claim to be an expert or Theologian, but what I DO know is that my heart is bursting with love for the Lord and I want others to feel the same way!

I feel impassioned and drawn to Evangelize people by sharing my experiences and transformation that have gotten me where I am today.

I will be sharing my personal conversion story and speaking with others about theirs.
