Fresh Choice (Part 1 of 4)
Updated: Aug 28, 2023
I really struggle with making choices. Usually when they are things like, what to eat for dinner, what to watch on TV, what to do for entertainment. I actually prefer (most of the time) for someone else to make the decision about those things.
I don't, however, struggle to make choices about having a positive attitude. I choose to wake up in a hopeful, optimistic mood. I choose to take my time getting ready in the morning by waking up incredibly early so I can be calm while preparing for the day. I choose to attend Mass everyday to feed my soul. I choose to go on a walk to get fresh air and exercise. I choose to take communion to my friend, Iris a couple of times a week to help her feel connected and fed by Christ. I choose to do my job to the best of my ability. I choose to support and care for my husband. I choose to care and support myself by doing healthy things for my mind, body & spirit.
I also choose to not do negative things. I choose to not be angry, upset, jealous and hurtful. I've had to work on these...but I am consciously choosing not to have those feelings. I choose to not do harmful things to my body. I choose to not smoke, do drugs, eat unhealthy food (maybe sometimes) or drink to excess. I want to take good care of this body the Lord has blessed me with. It's the only one I've got...or will ever have!
I encourage you to make a sincere effort to "make good choices"! You and those around you will certainly benefit!
