What this site collects

Last updated September 2026

Fresh Catholic is a podcast and study site. It is not a shop and it does not run an advertising business, so there is very little to tell — but what there is, is here in plain language.

The contact form

If you write to us through the contact page, we receive your name, your email address, the kind of enquiry you selected and your message. That is used to reply to you and for nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list, sold, or shared with anyone.

The email list

If you sign up for occasional updates, we store your email address with our email provider so that we can send them. You can unsubscribe from any message, and doing so removes your address.

Before launch: name the provider here once one is chosen, and link to its own privacy policy.

Videos

Videos on this site are hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you click a thumbnail — before that, no request reaches Google and no cookie is set. When you do click, the video plays through youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and Google’s own terms then apply to that playback.

The podcast

Episodes are hosted by Buzzsprout and play directly from Buzzsprout’s servers. Buzzsprout records download counts, as every podcast host does. If you listen through Apple Podcasts, Spotify or another app, that app’s own privacy policy applies.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views and visits without cookies, without fingerprinting, and without storing anything on your device \u2014 which is why there is no consent banner to click past.

It cannot tell whether you have been here before. Recognising a returning visitor means keeping something on their device between visits, and this deliberately does not. What it records is the page you opened, roughly which country you are in, and what kind of browser you used. Nothing that identifies you, and nothing that follows you to other sites.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived server logs including IP addresses, as any web host does. These are used to keep the site running and to investigate faults.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to lori@freshcatholic.com and we will do it.
